Louise Posten has been a nurse since 1989. Her nursing journey started in obstetrics, geriatrics, and rural nursing. Much of her professional life has been spent in management and leadership roles. Before coming to NWCCD, she was the Chief Nursing Officer of a community access hospital in southeast Wyoming and a licensed nursing home administrator.
She joined NWCCD in 2008 where she taught nursing for two years. Since 2010, Ms. Posten has served as the Director of the NWCCD Nursing Program and continues in that role currently. Today, she also serves as the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dean of Health Sciences, and Team Lead for distance education. Lousie is nationally certified as a nurse educator from the National League of Nursing. Her energy and enthusiasm are centered on supporting her college family and the many students who realize their dreams through higher education.
Mrs. Posten makes her home in Campbell County where she is joined by her husband of 39 years, two adult sons and their wives, and four magnificent grandchildren. She enjoys spending family time outdoors gardening, rock hounding, camping, and boating.
