Duane Fischer has been an instructor at Sheridan College in Diesel Technology since the Fall of 2013. Duane integrates real world experience with OEM common practices to expand students’ knowledge and skills. Duane utilizes lecture and lab instruction to reinforce information and techniques utilized in the Diesel Technology field. This technique combined with late model equipment and technology optimizes students’ skill development and experience. Duane’s goal in teaching is to foster an experience that will positively impact students for the rest of their lives.
Duane has always had a passion for working on cars and trucks, starting at a young age. Duane is an Alumnus of the Sheridan College Diesel Technology program, graduating in 2007. Duane’s work experience consisted of off-highway, industrial, agricultural, and as well as heavy duty truck.
Outside of school, Duane enjoys spending time with his family enjoying the outdoors. He loves to fish, hunt and spend time in the Bighorn Mountains.
