In order to support current and future students, and to serve the citizens of northern Wyoming, the Northern Wyoming Community College District (NWCCD) owns, leases, and/or manages various facilities located throughout the tri-county area. Main college campuses are located in Sheridan, WY and Gillette, WY, with an outreach center located in Buffalo, WY (SC in Johnson County). The NWCCD Spear-O-Wigwam Mountain Campus is located in the Bighorn Mountains, approximately 55 minutes from Sheridan College’s main campus.
In an effort to ensure all facilities support cutting-edge teaching and learning, NWCCD maintains robust facilities master plans. Significant investments have been made in recent years, resulting in new dining centers, state-of-the-art technical education centers, flexible student and community space, new residence halls, and much more. In 2016 alone, NWCCD opened doors on the new Whitney Center for the Arts at Sheridan College, the Mars Agriculture Center at Sheridan College, the Pronghorn Center at Gillette College, and a new residence hall in Gillette.
