Debra Haar joined the NWCCD Sheridan College Nursing Program in the fall of 2025. Debra’s career has largely focused on community health. Debra served as the Nurse Manager of Sheridan County Public Health for 10 years. Before that, she provided support to new families through the Maternal Child Health program at Public Health, where she was a certified Lactation Counselor. She started her career as a CNA and worked in long-term care. Her love of helping every person gain new insight into their own condition and how to promote health and prevent disease, has driven her desire to help foster a new generation of nurses in the same way her teachers helped inspire her.
Debra is very community minded. She is a board member of the Natural History Museum of Wyoming on the Sheridan College campus – because dinosaurs are awesome. She serves in the community as a member of the Sheridan County Youth Coalition and is an active participant in a variety of theatrical productions around the Sheridan area.
