About 6,700 openings for industrial engineering technologists and technicians are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Many of those openings are expected to result from the need to replace workers who transfer to different occupations or exit the labor force, such as to retire.

The Industrial Technology AAS program enables students to design an individualized program of study that focuses on educational interests leading to career pathways. Innovation Center
Sheridan College’s most recent building renovation and expansion, the Innovation Center, was finished in the fall of 2024. The space will support students and community members who are pursuing career opportunities in manufacturing or construction trades and also includes the new Manufacturing Incubator.

Technical Center
The Sheridan College Technical Center serves Welding, Construction, Diesel and Machine Tool Technology students.
