We care about your success and quality of life. Through Sheridan College (SC) Counseling Services, we provide holistic and confidential mental health services. We strive to educate, empower, and support students to promote personal, interpersonal, professional, and academic growth. Information disclosed in session is held to the American Counseling Association’s standard of confidentiality.

Counseling services at Sheridan College offer individual, couples, and group counseling to all students. Individuals in counseling must be enrolled at SC. We offer consultations, referrals, and crisis intervention.

Are you in an emergency situation?

Services Provided

Crisis Intervention

If a crisis occurs, the counselor can assist the person in the use of problem solving and stress management skills to regain a sense of control and return to their prior level of healthy functioning.

Community Referrals

Community referrals will be provided for those needing intensive counseling, drug/alcohol evaluations, long-term counseling, or psychiatric medical services.

Consultations

If a student, parent of a student (with appropriate release of information), faculty, or staff are unsure of how to support a student with mental health-related concerns, free consultations are available. If more assistance is needed, an appropriate referral will be provided.

Presentations

Presentations, workshops, and awareness events are offered to discuss mental health related issues. Workshops and consultations may be requested at any time.
