Edward A. Whitney Academic Center
The Edward A. Whitney Academic Center is the main entrance to Sheridan College, with a welcome center, offices for student services, advising and enrollment, dozens of classrooms and faculty offices, the Sheridan College bookstore and coffee shop, space for students to relax and study, and a dinosaur skeleton replica named Caesar.

Supporting Academics
The Academic Center was created to bolster the academic areas of science, technology, engineering, and math. The project included remodeling 18,000 sq. ft. of space in the existing Whitney Building and adding 35,000 sq. ft. of new space. The new learning labs allow faculty to teach cutting-edge material with the latest technology.
Welcoming Students
Just past the Information Desk, the Griffith Welcome Center serves as a one-stop shop for new and current students looking to enroll, register, or pay for classes. Students have immediate access to Admissions, Advising, Testing, Financial Aid, Records, and the Business Office.
Caesar the Allosaurus
The EAWAC is also home to Caesar, a skeletal replica of an Allosaurus dinosaur excavated near Buffalo by Sheridan College students and faculty in the 1990s. The 12’6″ mounted skeleton is based on the remains that were once hidden beneath a teaching site commonly used by Sheridan College faculty. Since the start of excavation, 40% of the skeletal remains have been found.
