The Mars Agriculture Center provides the College with a 16,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art building with top-notch learning environments for a variety of disciplines within the Sheridan College Ag Department. The building is attached to the existing Science Center.
Diverse Spaces Support Multiple Agriculture Programs
The Mars Ag Center allows for experiential agricultural learning with features such as a computerized commodities trading floor classroom, updated lab spaces, 2.5 acre field lab, an herbarium, multiple greenhouses, a livestock barn, and farrier barn.
Commodities Room
The Sheridan College is the only community college in the state that has a commodities room to provide real-time market analysis and education. The room is complete with 12 workstations, a live feed of the current stock prices that wraps around the room, and a floor to ceiling glass wall with a smart tint that can transform into a space to take notes.

Hands-on Learning
Whether you’re an Ag student or biology major, hands-on learning is always available. Faculty members have partnerships with community businesses, land management organizations, and livestock producers allowing students hands-on experiences outside the classroom. There are also two greenhouses that students run during the winter months.
Resources
The Ag Department has three active clubs as well as a research group. Faculty provides opportunities to engage students in learning outside the classroom through student employment (via a job board), student organizations, recreation activities, and intercollegiate athletics.
