Broadway Musical Theater Intensive presents: Little Shop of Horrors by Howard Ashman

Join us for the culmination of our two-week Broadway Musical Theater Intensive with performances of Little Shop of Horrors by Howard Ashman on Friday, June 26 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 27 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Little Shop of Horrors is a comedic, rock-infused musical featuring lyrics and book by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken. Set in a struggling flower shop on Skid Row, the story centers on Seymour Krelborn, a shy and down-on-his-luck employee who discovers a strange and unusual plant during a solar eclipse. Hoping to save the failing business and impress his co-worker Audrey, Seymour nurtures the plant—quickly drawing attention, customers, and unexpected success to the shop.

But as the plant grows, so do the stakes. What begins as a quirky opportunity soon reveals a darker edge, testing Seymour’s morality and pushing him into increasingly difficult choices. Blending catchy doo-wop–style numbers with humor and suspense, the musical explores themes of ambition, love, and the cost of chasing success, all wrapped in a wildly entertaining and slightly sinister package.
