This course will cover making ceramics in a studio environment and firing them with the unique State Clay Wood-fired kiln on campus. Demonstrations and hands-on instruction will have you creating cups, bowls, mugs, and whatever your imagination can dream up! No experience is necessary; faculty will teach you all you need to know.

In this hands-on investments course, you’ll collaborate with classmates to actively manage a portfolio of funds throughout the semester while gaining real-world experience in financial decision-making. Students will also prepare and deliver a basic stock pitch, strengthening their analytical and presentation skills. This course is designed to bridge theory with practice, offering a practical foundation in personal portfolio management and market research.

Come to this introductory class on soil to learn about physical, chemical and biological characteristics. Learn how to do basic soil tests, how to read a soil test report and apply fertilizers. Help the soil feed your plants to feed your family.

Explore the dynamic and spontaneous world of monoprinting in this beginner-friendly class designed for artists of all levels. Monoprinting is a versatile printmaking technique that combines the painterly freedom of painting with the reproducibility of printmaking-each print is unique, offering endless creative possibilities.

Students will learn about different pack animals, equipment, saddling adjusting, weight distribution, horse side manner, different hitch forms, and computing speed and accuracy for a safe and effective pack trip.
