In this hands-on investments course, you’ll collaborate with classmates to actively manage a portfolio of funds throughout the semester while gaining real-world experience in financial decision-making. Students will also prepare and deliver a basic stock pitch, strengthening their analytical and presentation skills. This course is designed to bridge theory with practice, offering a practical foundation in personal portfolio management and market research.

Do you have a goal to read more books and workout in the new year? If so, join us for Fit Lit as we look at how to set goals and healthy (body & mind) habits. We will meet for a brief workshop on habits, goals, and healthy lifestyles and then take our book discussion to the indoor track in the dome. Depending on the reading pace of the group we will cover 2-3 books in the six week session.

This is an advanced course in Revit (BIM) modeling software.  In this course students will enhance their Revit (BIM) skills.  We will apply basic design factors such as room relationships, sizes, building codes to draft an approximately 1,200 SF residence using Revit (BIM) software.

Perspective, Color Theory, and Design

This class focuses on basic elements of drawing and design to give students a well-rounded understanding of visual skills. Students will learn the principles behind perspective, observational drawing, and essential principles of design such as color theory, composition, balance, and harmony. We will work primarily in pencil, and also use watercolor when studying color theory and design. This is an introductory/intermediate level course taught with encouragement through fun exercises, targeted projects, and examples from art history.

Sheep Shearing

Learn the basic techniques for safely and effectively shearing a sheep in a physically demanding field. We will discuss the importance of shearing for the health of the sheep, go over the necessary equipment, and how to maintain shearing tools. Additionally, we will explore the global wool and shearing industry.

Fly Fishing

Drone Licensing

This course will provide students with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to obtain a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on flight training, students will learn about FAA regulations and aircraft operations. Upon completion, students will have the information necessary to pass the FAAs Part 107 test to fly drones commercially.
