What is an Apprenticeship?
A registered apprenticeship is a structured training program that allows individuals to gain hands-on experience while earning a wage. Apprenticeship programs at Sheridan College are approved by the Department of Labor and require a partnership between an employer, student, and the College.
Apprentices work full-time, receiving on-the-job training at their place of employment. They then complete related classroom instruction in off-work hours to earn nationally recognized credentials. This program can be completed in 3-5 semesters by taking 1 or 2 classes per semester. Start in Fall or Spring semester.
