Next Wednesday, March 4, students from 25 Wyoming, Montana and South Dakota high schools will come to Sheridan College for Demo Day, Culinary Experience Day and Cyber Day – three events designed to give them the college experience.
All events feature hands-on activities highlighting degree programs available within each area. In addition, students will be given campus tours, have lunch in Thorne-Rider Campus Center and watch demonstrations by Sheridan College faculty members.
Students participating in Demo Day will get hands-on experience within all of the technical programs offered at Sheridan College. Students will complete four activities in welding, diesel, machine tool and construction at the Sheridan College Technical Center.
Cyber Day will give students an in-depth look at computer sciences programs offered at Sheridan College, including web development, computer networking administration, cyber security, computer science and IT support technician.
Students participating in Culinary Experience Day will get to work in a real restaurant with hands-on cooking sessions at the Wyoming Culinary Institute as well as a hospitality session with local restaurant and business owner Chad Franklin.
