Sheridan College Rodeo Results from Lamar, CO

The Sheridan College men’s and women’s rodeo teams competed in Lamar, CO., this past weekend. The SC rodeo teams participated among ten different teams from the Central Rocky Mountain Region in CO, Neb, and WY. 

Clancy Glenn of Parma, Idaho, earned first place overall in the saddle bronc event after receiving a 66-point ride in the first round and an 81-point ride in the second round. Glenn took home 140 regional points for his team. Tayson Jones of Howes, S.D., placed fifth overall after completing a 68-point ride in the first round, but he could not complete his second ride. Cody Weeks of Malad City, Idaho, placed sixth overall in the competition after completing a 68-point ride in the first round but was unable to complete his second ride.

Camri Elshere of Elm Springs, S.D., placed sixth overall in the goat-tying event. Elshere had a time of 8.0 seconds for her first run and a time of 12.1 seconds in the second round.

Elshere also earned fourth place overall in the breakaway event. During the first round, she received a time of 3 seconds flat; during the second round, she earned a time of 2.9 seconds.

The Sheridan College rodeo teams’ next competition will be in Cheyenne, WY, on Friday, Oct. 14 through Sunday, Oct. 16.
