Gillette College hires new women’s basketball coach

Gillette College Athletic Director Bubba Hall announced today the hiring of Liz Lewis as its new head women’s basketball coach.

Lewis joins the Pronghorns after serving two years as the head women’s basketball coach and sports information director for Dickinson State University.  Lewis’ experience includes head coaching positions at the NJCAA level, NAIA level, and assistant coach at the NCAA level.  She also spent time as an NCAA recruiter and student athlete at the NCAA Division II and NAIA Division I levels.

“We had an incredibly talented group of candidates for this position,” said Gillette College Vice President Janell Oberlander.  “We look forward to Coach Lewis joining our Pronghorn Athletic Community and know she will do an outstanding job.”

Lewis earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education and Health from Rocky Mountain College and a Master of Arts Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University. Her tenure with Gillette College will begin July 1, 2019.
