Gillette College announces students receiving athletic honors

Gillette College is pleased to recognize students who received athletic honors this year.

Several Pronghorn women’s soccer team players from the team who went to the national tournament were selected for one of the 2019-2020 All-Region Teams. Players Jaycie Greene, Karlie Valdez of West Haven, Utah; Irie Elliott, and Kelsey Hogan of Great Falls, Montana; all made First Team All-Region. Sarah Williams and Emma Jarvis were selected for the Second Team All-Region. In addition, Greene was named Region IX Freshman of the Year and Honorable Mention All-American and Valdez was selected Region IX Player of the Year and the 2020 Outstanding Student Athlete for Gillette College. On the men’s soccer team, Jordan Milby of Casper, Wyoming; Isaack Shire of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Leno De Gaetano of Edinburgh, United Kingdom; all made Honorable Mention All-Region.

The Gillette College women’s basketball team was also very successful this year. Skylar Patton of New Caney, Texas, was selected for the Region IX North All-Conference Team, Region IX North All-Defensive Team and Region IX All-Tournament Team. Sydney Prather of Big Timber, Montana, was selected for the Region IX All-Tournament Team. In addition, Molly Coleman of Kadina, Australia, made the Region IX North All-Conference Team. Fellow Australian Kobe King-Hawea of Melbourne was selected for the Region IX North All-Conference Team MVP, Region IX All-Tournament Team and NJCAA 1st Team All-American as well as World Exposure 1st Team All-American and World Exposure Freshman of the Year.

The Gillette College men’s basketball team also won several awards. Mason Archambault of Rapid City, South Dakota, made Second Team All-Region and Bradley Akhile made Third Team All-Region. Archambault, Jayden Coke of Ajax, Ontario, and Isaac Mushila made the Region IX All-Tournament Team.

“We are so incredibly proud of these students’ achievements,” said Athletic Director Rich “Bubba” Hall. “They are outstanding student athletes and great representatives of Gillette College in the region.”

NJCAA academic awards will be announced in June.
