Matthew teaches General Biology, Animal Biology, Microbiology, and Ecology courses at Gillette College. He is passionate about providing active learning and enquiry-based learning opportunities for his student. He is a faculty advisor for the Gillette College Science Association, a student group committed to providing professional opportunities for those in the sciences.
Matthew’s background is in Community Ecology of aquatic systems, especially relative to herpetology (reptiles and amphibians) and fish. He is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT). He is a board member of the Wyoming Sportman’s Group, a non-profit organization based in Gillette.
