Deborah M. Houston is a Business Faculty Coordinator for Sheridan College. In this role, she is responsible for administrative responsibilities and teaching courses in the Business Department.
Dr. Houston’s areas of teaching include Management, Human Resource Management, Leadership, and Business Ethics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She also served as an advisor for Phi Beta Lambda, a collegiate division of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) dedicated to inspiring and developing the next generation of leaders by preparing its members for careers in business, and business-related fields. As an instructor to both traditional and nontraditional students, she brings a unique perspective to the challenges of working adults returning to college. She is also a co-founder of a nonprofit organization, Red Black & Love, Inc., whose mission is to provide monetary assistance to deserving high school seniors as they prepare to attend college.
Dr. Houston believes that education, as an essential tool for academic and personal growth, not only promotes the professional growth of individuals, but also challenges them to become better human beings.
