Crissy has been with Sheridan College as a nursing instructor for 10 years and served as the simulation expert in Sheridan for over six years. She was instrumental in assisting with the procurement, development and implementation of the Wyoming Simulation Center in Sheridan, Wyoming. She is nationally certified in simulation education (CHSE) and as a nurse educator (CNE). In addition, she works PRN as a registered nurse at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit, bringing over 15 years of experience. Crissy feels it is important to continue working at the bedside to maintain a high skill level and demonstrate to students the significance of continuous professional growth. Crissy demonstrates a passion for life-long learning and believes with nurses, the learning journey starts at graduation with their first degree.
Crissy received an Associate degree in Nursing from a California community college in 2000, a Bachelor’s in Nursing at the University of Phoenix in 2007, a Master’s of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Wyoming in 2012 and a Doctorate in Nursing from American Sentinel University in 2016.
