Brent Heusinkveld worked for John Deere and International Trucks prior to coming to Gillette to teach. He has over 30 years of teaching experience, over 25 years at Gillette College and 12 years with the Campbell County School District. Brent is currently the Faculty Senate President and has served as an elected Division Chair for two four-year terms. He also helped establish SkillsUSA in the state of Wyoming.
Brent is master-certified by the ASE in Diesel, Auto, and School Bus. He advises the SkillsUSA team for the Diesel Technology program and believes that it provides the opportunity for students to further their education through leadership development. He likes to connect students with industry to provide them with scholarships and work co-ops. He believes the culture of this District is one of growth, high energy, and excellence.
Brent is happily married to his wife Susan and they have raised four children in this community, two of whom have graduated from Sheridan College.
