“Our Symphony Band will have the privilege of performing the world premiere of American West Folk Suite by our own David Ahrens, assistant principal horn,” Richards said. “This engaging work features compelling new settings of the folk songs ‘Sweet Betsy from Pike;’ ‘Git Along, Little Dogies;’ and ‘The Rock Island Line.”

The band will also perform songs by Robert Russell Bennet, Frank Ticheli, and John Philip Sousa.
