SUMMARY:Sheridan College Symphonic Band
DESCRIPTION:Join us Sunday\, Oct. 11 in Kinnison Hall at 4 p.m. for a free concert.\nThe event will mark the group’s first performance under the leadership of its new conductor\, Charles Tarver. \nThe Symphonic Band is excited to perform the Wyoming premiere of “Skyline” by Frank Gulino\, a composer deeply inspired by mountain landscapes. The concert will also feature the Light Cavalry Overture by Franz von Suppe\, a performance dedicated to the Sheridan College Rodeo Team; “Air” from Johann Sebastian Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 3; and a patriotic tribute. \nThe concert will open with the “Vienna Philharmonic Fanfare”\, written by Richard Strauss in 1924 for the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra’s brass section. \nNew this year\, we require the reservation of free\, general admission tickets at the door or in advance. \nGet tickets.
