Whether you are promoting travel and tourism, serving excellent food, or staffing lodging professionals, hospitality managers are trained to oversee the day-to-day operations of numerous companies, resorts, golf courses, and more. NWCCD’s Hospitality Management program offers an Associate of Applied Science degree and a Certificate of Completion to enhance your career in the fast-paced, fast-growing industry of hospitality. Today’s Hospitality Management field is all about the customer experience. That’s why demand is high for trained and skilled Hospitality Managers who know how to create hospitality environments, oversee hiring, and purchasing of products, and attend to administrative duties. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that from 2016-2026 nearly 27,600 jobs will be added to the field of food service managers, an increase of 9%. The Bureau also predicts growth for the fields of lodging managers and meeting, convention, and event Planners.
Hospitality Managers work in a variety of settings in every state. Our NWCCD Associate of Applied Science degree and Certificate of Completion in Hospitality Manager is one of the most successful programs in Wyoming and the surrounding region. As a student in our Hospitality Management program, you will receive important hands-on training from expert faculty members, as well as the best theory and practical teachings for the hospitality industry from experienced professionals. This program incorporates lecture classes with the hands-on practical application of running an operating venue within the hospitality industry. The comprehensive program follows industry standards and includes four hands-on practicum courses that allow you to gain real-world experience.
As a student in NWCCD’s Hospitality Management program, your course schedule may include Dining Room Management, Banquet Management, Hospitality Practicum, Bar and Beverage Control, Hospitality Marketing, Accounting, Employment Law, and more. NWCCD’s highly trained faculty will ensure you have the skills to succeed in the hospitality management field.
