NWCCD offers over 47 programs of study. Our small class sizes allow students to work together, applying hands-on learning techniques.

Education and Training

Anytime:
The best part about the services we offer is that we are flexible! That means that we can provide training on any shift, whether it’s day, night, or swing.

Anywhere:
We can provide training at your business, in your office, at your plant. Or if your needs can better be met by sending your employees to one of our state-of-the-art locations, we have the latest technology, equipment, and facilities to train at our site.

Anyway:
Our highly qualified staff can custom design a course or training program for your business. We offer a variety of ways to deliver our services: classroom, Internet, interactive TV, video, and on-site. Let us deliver training for you!

To register online, download, fill out and email back the registration form to: 
wtd-registration@sheridan.edu

The highlighted fields must be filled out.  You may also register in person at Sheridan College’s main campus, 3059 Coffeen Ave., or at Sheridan College Main Street, 171 N. Main St. For informa­tion, call (307) 674-6446 ext. 4500.  You can bring a check to the first day of your class or call the Business Office, 307-674-6446, ext. 2402 to give credit card information over the phone.

Refunds: Unless otherwise noted, a complete refund is given to par­ticipants who cancel their registration at least one day before the start of class. Once the class starts, those registered are charged 100 percent of the registration fee.


Wanted: instructors
Sheridan College Workforce Training and Development seeks instructors for short-term day and/or evening professional development and community education courses. Topics can vary widely, ranging from business development to knitting. Please e-mail your resume and any other relevant materials to sthayer@sheridan.edu.

Industry Training and Education (I-TEC)

Let us be your business partner! Your business faces challenges every day. We want to partner with your company to assess goals and provide training and learning opportunities and develop a plan to help your company reach its desired goals.

The I-TEC course offerings have been developed to meet the pressing challenges for skilled trade employees for the energy industries of coal mining, coal bed methane production, enhanced oil recovery and power generation. Courses offered include OSHA energy and field training, PLC Group, mobile electrical essentials, AC/DC Electrical Theory, and National Electrical Code.

Professional Development
Professional Development courses include courses in leadership, team building, time management, conflict resolution, managing customer services, fundamentals of technical writing, computers (Microsoft Office Suite), CEUs for professionals such as real estate, insurance and police officers.

  • Flexible Learning - Sheridan College offers Flexible Learning options for your busy life. Make your own schedule and work at your own pace. Books are available for use in the Flexible Learning Lab. Complete assignments off campus if you purchase the text, and software. The online portion can be completed from any internet connection. Finish at any time before the end of the semester.

Community Education

Community Learning courses are personal enrichment courses such as cooking, baking, fitness, hunter education, Photoshop, eBay®, survival Spanish, personal finance, oil painting, woodworking, pottery, budgeting and writing.
