Local man brings world perspective to Sheridan College art program

Daniel Furnish is a man of culture. He sings and plays the guitar. He’s well-traveled and even worked on an organic fruit tree farm in Puerto Rico.

The urbane 31-year-old recently found a new home: the Sheridan College Art Department. And he’s loving it.

Sheridan College in Johnson County to hold open house

Sheridan College in Johnson County will hold an open house today, April 23, from 3-7 p.m. inside the old Clear Creek School.

The event is free and open to the public. SC in JC moved into the old Clear Creek School, located at 64 North Burritt Ave. in Buffalo, in January.

Efforts to enhance sustainability, functionality of mountain campus are in motion

Sheridan College students and community volunteers play an important role in maintenance, restoration and improvements to Spear-O-Wigwam Mountain Campus, located in the Bighorn Mountains. Internships, in-class projects and community volunteers help the mountain campus encompass its historic tradition.

Sheridan College to offer three new programs
