Who Attends Orientation?
Orientation is required for all first-time Sheridan and Gillette College students registered for 6 or more credit hours, all degree seeking students and students returning to college after 3 years. Family members are encouraged but not required to attend the new student college orientation with their son, daughter or spouse.
Why Do I Need to Attend Orientation?
Orientation assists new students with their academic and personal transition into Sheridan College. It is important that new students understand the academic expectations, their personal responsibilities, and the resources available to them for their student success. New students will learn about our college expectations and about the online tools students will need including MyCollege, Blackboard and Web Advisor. Students and family members will be given a campus tour, the SC college handbook and planner, and an opportunity to obtain your college ID.
How Do I Get Information for Orientation?
You will receive information about your orientation date and time from a professional academic advisor at the time of registration.
