Congratulations on your admission to Sheridan College! Here is a quick list of things to get done after you receive your admissions letter.

Important Dates and Deadlines: Make sure you know when you need to be registered for classes, pay your bill, have all your tests completed and transcripts in to Admissions.
New Student Checklist: A great resource with a checklist, specific instructions and more. Print this out to have a handy copy of all the things you need to get done before the first day of classes.
Advising: All first-time students at Sheridan College meet with an advisor to select classes for their course schedule. Our friendly advising staff can help you make a smooth transition from admissions and testing to taking classes.
Testing Services: Some students need to take placement tests for admissions or special admissions. Schedule an appointment with Testing Services at 674-6446 ext. 2000. Remember to bring a pictured ID. Also, most tests require payment at the time of testing.
Financial Aid: Apply for federal aid using the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA). Please use the NWCCD (Sheridan and Gillette Colleges) school code 003930. You can also apply for scholarships by contacting Financial Aid (307) 674-6446 ext. 2100 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Register for Classes: Requires a course schedule with and advisor’s signature. You can register for classes by dropping your course schedule off at the Records and Registration Office in the Whitney Building, Room W127, (307) 674-6446 ext. 2201 or 2203.
Housing: If you are applying for housing, follow housing application instructions, complete application and submit $125 deposit fee. It is recommended that students submit their application for housing as soon as possible. For more information, contact Residential Education and Housing Office, (307) 674-6446 ext. 2301.
Expenses: Pay for all tuition, fees, and housing at the Business Office, The Business Office is located in the Whitney Building, Room W134, (307) 674-6446 ext. 2405.
Orientation: Orientation is required for all first-time college students registered for 6 or more credit hours, all degree seeking students and students returning to college after 2 years.
Your College ID: Obtain a college picture ID card available in the Residential Education and Housing Office located in the Thorne-Rider Commons Building, (307) 674-6446 ext. 2301.
Bookstore: Purchase textbooks from the SC General Store, located in the lower level of the Thorne-Rider Commons Building, (307) 674-6446 ext. 4102.
