Sheridan College announces 2013-14 Distinguished Alum

Sheridan College President Dr. Paul Young announced his approval of the Sheridan College Alumni Committee’s recommendation of Dr. Karmen Kirtley as the 2013-2014 Sheridan College Distinguished Alum. Dr. Kirtley will receive her award during this year’s Sheridan College Commencement Ceremony, to be held on campus Saturday, May 10, starting at 1 p.m.

Sheridan College student-built replica dozer up for auction

A miniature bulldozer built by Sheridan College machine tool students is currently up for silent auction at the college.

Local man brings world perspective to Sheridan College art program

Daniel Furnish is a man of culture. He sings and plays the guitar. He’s well-traveled and even worked on an organic fruit tree farm in Puerto Rico.

The urbane 31-year-old recently found a new home: the Sheridan College Art Department. And he’s loving it.

The event is free and open to the public. SC in JC moved into the old Clear Creek School, located at 64 North Burritt Ave. in Buffalo, in January.
