NWCCD eighth fastest growing community college in nation

Sheridan College was recently ranked eighth in a 2013 Community College Week special report identifying the 25 fastest growing community colleges. The report placed SC in a category of similar-sized institutions, enrolling 2,500 – 4,999 students.

SC continues to honor veterans

Sheridan College will begin a new tradition next week that will continue efforts to honor our service men and women. Beginning Monday, Jan. 20, SC will play the National Anthem through speakers on the college grounds, Monday through Friday, during the academic year at 7:30 a.m.

SC in Johnson County moves locations

SCJC Spring 2014 Schedule

Sheridan College in Johnson County has moved into the former Clear Creek Elementary School building.

Spring semester classes begin Monday, Jan. 20, and registration is open. SC in JC is offering 34 courses this spring, from accounting to Pilates to Chinese. To register, call 684-2001 or 674-6446, ext. 2000.

SC to display art work from local artist

The Martinsen Gallery at Sheridan College will host an art exhibit by local artist Charles Gibson, with an opening reception scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 4-5 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

The show, “Dare to Dream,” an exploration in colored pencils and oils, will run from Jan. 14 through Feb. 18.
