Sheridan College to hold open house for Campus Center

Sheridan College will hold an open house on Wednesday, Sept. 10, inside the Thorne-Rider Campus Center. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. the public is encouraged to tour the new Campus Center. There will be free food samples from 2-4 p.m.

Sheridan College to rededicate library

Sheridan College’s library inside the Griffith Memorial Building will be rededicated with its original name, the Mary Brown Kooi Library, at a ceremony and ribbon cutting by the Sheridan Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors. The event will be Friday, Sept. 12, at 12:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

Sheridan College Dental Hygiene program to hold 5K run/walk

The Sheridan College Dental Hygiene Program will hold “Miles for Smiles,” a 5K run/walk on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 9 a.m. Participants will start in front of the Whitney Academic Center at Sheridan College and utilize the Sheridan Pathways. There is a one-mile option for walkers.

Sheridan College art instructor takes part in Powell Arts Festival

Sheridan College art instructor Tawni Shuler painted “en plein air,” a French expression for painting outdoors, at the 2014 Powell Arts Festival on Saturday. Shuler was among eight artists who painted the downtown Powell area.

SC coach Smiley joins Weber State; Hammer takes reins
