SC students help raise money for international campaign

The Sheridan College and Sheridan High School international student groups joined efforts to raise a collective $1,320 for the charity, Free the Children, for its Adopt-a-Village campaign. A village in Kenya will receive the funds for building a school.

50 years: Iconic SC coach Bruce Hoffman reflects on tenure

Hoffman, indeed, became a college coach. He capped an illustrious career at Sheridan College in 1999 and was elected as a trustee soon after. Hoffman is entering his 50th year with the college.

Sheridan College music instructor wins composition award

Sheridan College music instructor Dr. Christian Erickson recently won the 2014 ARTCORE New Music Competition. The winning composition, “Danzas de los Matachines,” is a quartet for strings and will be the centerpiece of a recital by Christine Dunbar, principal cellist with the Wyoming Symphony.

NWCCD awards record number of degrees

Following the completion of its 65th graduation ceremony in Sheridan, College officials announced this year’s total awards earned by graduates topped 750; Sheridan College- 466 and Gillette College- 302 – a record number for the Northern Wyoming Community College District.
