Theater Department to present “Dancing at Lughnasa”

The play, written by dramatist Brian Friel and winner of the 1992 Tony Award for Best Play, will have showings at 7:30 p.m., Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 6-8. A matinee at 2 p.m. will also be offered on Saturday, Nov. 8.

The presentation, “An Inside View from Mars on the World of Commodities,” will be held inside the Whitney Presentation Hall from 6-7:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

Community music courses to be held at Sheridan College in Johnson County

Local musician Lynn Young will host three music-related courses this fall through Sheridan College in Johnson County’s Community Education program. Additionally, singer/songwriter David Stewart will offer “The art of song writing,” on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at SCJC in Buffalo from 6-9 p.m.
