SC Trustee King Resigns
Monday, July 19th, 2010SHERIDAN, Wyo.— The Northern Wyoming Community College District Board of Trustees regretfully accepted the resignation of board member Brian King and announces a vacancy in the Board of Trustees. King has been a member of the Board for approximately one and one half years, and is resigning because he and his family will be relocating to Laramie this fall where his wife has been accepted into a PhD program at the University of Wyoming.
“The Board appreciates Brian’s time as a board member. We wish both he and his family well with their future plans,” said Board Chair Bruce Hoffman.
“It has been a privilege to be a member of this board and serve my community in this position,” said King. “My ties to the college will stay strong despite my absence from the board and I am certain I will be kept informed of the happenings. I apologize for not finishing my term but I know I leave my position in capable hands.”
The Board is asking for letters of interest to fill the unexpired term of King, by 4 p.m., June 7, 2010. The board will interview applicants and fill the vacancy at its next regular board meeting on June 17, 2010.
Letters need to be addressed to the Board of Trustees, C/O Deborah White, Sheridan College, P.O. Box 1500, Sheridan, WY 82801 or may be hand delivered to Sheridan College, 3059 Coffeen Avenue, Whitney Building, Room 145A.
