The Outdoor Leadership Associate of Science degree is designed to prepare students for future careers in Outdoor Education, Leadership, Recreation and Environmental Sciences. This degree combines experiential learning with outdoor adventure. Skill development courses underscore the leadership qualities students will acquire throughout this program. Students in this program are encouraged to transfer to a four-year school in order to complete their baccalaureate studies.
Students in the Outdoor Leadership program will be able to take advantage of the Spear-O Wigwam Mountain campus and utilize its surroundings to demonstrate safe and effective techniques in a variety of outdoor recreational activities. Students will also participate in risk management and leadership skill development as well as engage in opportunities to apply environmental science theories and concepts within an educational capacity.
