Janine Sasse-Englert

Janine is the director of the Dental Hygiene Department. Her course responsibilities include General and Oral Pathology, Board Review and second year clinic. She has worked in private practice and/or education since 1982, and taught at Sheridan College from 1985-1995 and again since 2005. She is a current member of multiple professional associations, including the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, American Dental Education Association, Wyoming Dental Hygienists’ Association, and Sigma Phi Alpha, and has served in leadership positions at the local, state and regional level. She is a past member of the Wyoming Board of Dental Examiners, and serves as an examiner for the Central Regional Dental Testing Services, Inc. (CRDTS) and Western Regional Examining Board (WREB). Janine occasionally provides continuing education to Wyoming dental hygienists and assistants.

Lacey is a full time instructor in the Dental Hygiene Department. She teaches clinical dental hygiene to sophomore and junior students. Her classroom responsibilities include Head, Neck, and Oral Anatomy and Physiology, Pain Management lecture and lab, and Dental Materials lecture and lab. Lacey has provided quality dental hygiene services and nonsurgical periodontal therapy in various general dental practices in Wyoming, Montana, and as a volunteer at Indian Health Services in Peach Springs, Arizona. Lacey is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and serves on the executive Board of the Wyoming Dental Hygienists’ Association.

Sara Beres is a full time instructor in the Dental Hygiene Department. She teaches preclinical and clinical dental hygiene to upper division dental hygiene students enrolled in the professional program. Her teaching responsibilities also include Dental Anatomy, Dental Embryology and Histology, Office Practice and a computer course entitled Clinical Dental Technology. She participates in community service and professional activities and is a member of the Wyoming Dental Hygienists’ Association, the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, and the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.

Catherine Bergey, BS

Catherine is a full-time administrative assistant for the Health Sciences and Outdoor Education Division and the Dental Hygiene Department. Her duties include all the support services for students, faculty and staff that keep the Program functioning efficiently. She is often the first impression of the Dental Hygiene Program for prospective students and patients. She provides tours and answers questions of students and their families, and collects all the admissions documents and forms for prospective and current students.

June Biss is a full time instructor and junior clinic coordinator in the Dental Hygiene Department. She teaches clinical dental hygiene to sophomore and junior students, as well as supervising junior students on their clinical rotation to the VA Hospital. Her teaching responsibilities include periodontology, clinical seminar series, community dentistry, and pain management lab. Since 1988, June has provided quality dental hygiene services and nonsurgical periodontal therapy in various private dental practices. June is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the Wyoming Dental Hygienists’ Association.

Patricia Dray

Patricia Dray is a full time instructor and sophomore clinic coordinator in the Dental Hygiene Department. She teaches preclinical and clinical dental hygiene. Her teaching responsibilities include didactic education (hybrid and online) in ethics and law, special needs and medically compromised clientele, and clinic seminar courses. Patricia is active in the Delta Delta Chapter of Sigma Phi Alpha and has held positions in several professional associations in the U.S. and Canada, including the Wyoming Dental Hygienists’ Association, Alberta Dental Hygienists’ Association, and the American Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors (School and Adolescent Oral Health-Best Practices Team). Patricia is currently completing her Ed.D. in Adult and Post-Secondary Education at the University of Wyoming. Patricia is also active in the Sheridan College National Society of Leadership and Success, the Wyoming Academic Challenge, and the college’s wind ensemble and chorus.

Jenna Golden is a full time instructor in the Dental Hygiene Department. She came to Sheridan College from Rapid City, South Dakota where she practiced clinical dental hygiene for 22 years. She is responsible for teaching Radiology and Radiology Lab to the sophomore students as well as preclinical and clinical dental hygiene. She has worked in a variety of practice settings and states and is currently enrolled in the Masters of Dental Hygiene Education program through the University of Minnesota. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the Wyoming Dental Hygienists’ Association.

Traci King is a part-time adjunct faculty member in the Dental Hygiene Department. She also works in private practices in Sheridan providing high quality dental hygiene care and non-surgical periodontal therapy. She has worked in a variety of settings including pediatric dentistry and public schools providing oral health education and fluoride rinses. Traci is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the Wyoming Dental Hygienists’ Association.

Effie Lewis is a full time instructor in the Dental Hygiene Department. She teaches preclinical and clinical dental hygiene to dental hygiene students enrolled in the professional program. Her teaching responsibilities also include supervising dental hygiene students on rotations at the Northern Cheyenne and Crow Healthcare facilities. She team teaches Dental Materials class and oversees the labs. She serves as the advisor to the Student Chapter of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and is a member of both ADHA and the Wyoming Dental Hygienists’ Association. Effie has provided quality dental hygiene services and nonsurgical periodontal therapy in various private dental practices. Prior to becoming a dental hygienist, Effie was a licensed expanded functions dental assistant.

Judy Reichert

Judy Reichert is the Clinic Manager for the Dental Hygiene Department. Her responsibilities include keeping the dental hygiene clinic supplied and the equipment functioning. She manages patient information and acts as liaison between the Program and patients’ dental offices. She supervises and trains students in clinic and office assisting duties. Judy is also the Program’s Infection Control Training Officer and ensures that all OSHA, CDC and privacy guidelines are followed.

Sherry Wickum is a part-time clinical instructor in the Dental Hygiene Department. She teaches clinical dental hygiene to sophomore and junior students. Sherry has been practicing clinical dental hygiene in Montana and Wyoming since her graduation from Sheridan College in 1997. Sherry is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and Wyoming Dental Hygienists’ Association.

Abbey Woods is a part-time instructor in the Dental Hygiene Department. She teaches pre-clinical and clinical dental hygiene to first year students enrolled in the professional program. Abbey is a member of both the American and the Wyoming Dental Hygienists’ Association and enjoys practicing dental hygiene three times a week in a family dental practice in Sheridan.
