Sheridan College sixth annual Christmas tree lighting

Sheridan College will host its sixth annual Christmas tree lighting and celebration Tuesday, November 30 at the main campus.  Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the lobby area of the Whitney Building with hot chocolate, cookies, and carols directed by Sheridan College Music Director, Gene Sager. Participants will enjoy hearing a number of holiday songs by the Sheridan College Chamber Choir.

“This event is one of my favorites,” said Sager.  “It is so fun to see the smiles on the children’s faces and the energy from an event like this is so unique and joyous.”

Also available for viewing during the event in the Martinsen Gallery, Whitney Building room 145, will be A Spirit of Christmas Holiday Show.  This unique collection of holiday items is a work of art created by Sheridan College employee, Barb Williams.

Events will culminate at 6:00 p.m. when participants are invited to step outside while the lights on the trees along the highway in front of the Whitney Building are turned on.

The event is free and open to the public.
