Gillette College to host renowned graphic novelist; part of series in partnership with Library

GILLETTE — Graphic Novelist, Jason Brubaker, a professional artist who has worked on movies such as Pitch Black, Van Helsing and the Kung Fu Panda trilogy, will be in Gillette September 17 – 18, 2015. He will host a book signing and conduct workshops with local high school students. The event is co-sponsored by Gillette College’s Center for Workforce and Continuing Education and the Campbell County Public Library (CCPL) and is paid for through funds from the Campbell County Community Public Recreation District Grants.


Gillette College Machine Tool Technology Program hosts open house

GILLETTE — Gillette College Machine Tool Technology instructors and students will be on-hand Friday, Sept. 18 to showcase and highlight the program and potential careers in the technical area. From 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. the Machine Tool Lab, room 118 in the Gillette College Technical Center, will be open to all.


NWCCD hires Winter as new athletic director

Jenni Winter has been named the new Intercollegiate Athletics Director for the Northern Wyoming Community College District, which includes Sheridan College and Gillette College, officials announced recently.


Gillette College continues commercial driver training courses; hires new instructor

Gillette College recently welcomed Robert James as the new Driver Training Instructor. James has 13 years of classroom and hands-on teaching experience, including Class A and B Commercial Driver Training, Defensive Driving, Winter Driving, passenger training, and a variety of safety courses. His 23 years of experience in the transportation industry includes experience in the oil and gas industry, business ownership, over-the-road, and military.
