MEET WITH AN ADVISOR
1. Complete the math and english placement exams
Call 307.686.0254 Ext. 1455 to schedule an appointment to complete the math and english placement exams (if a first-time college student or if you have not completed a college-level math and/or English course) A $5.00 fee is assessed for each exam, and a picture ID is required.
- ACT scores may also be used for placement; if you achieve a 23 or above on the English and Math portions of your ACT, you do not need to take the math or english placement exams.
2. Meet with an academic advisor
Call us to schedule an appointment to meet with an academic advisor or you may just drop in. During our busiest times, we only see students on a drop in basis. 307.686.0254 ext. 1000.
3. Attend an orientation session
Attend your orientation session, which is usually scheduled right before classes begin in Fall and Spring. Orientation is required for all first-time college students registered for 6 or more credit hours, and all degree-seeking candidates. Orientation is highly recommended for transfer students, non-degree seeking students enrolled in less than 6 credit hours, and high school students as well. You will receive orientation date and time information after registering.
