The Gillette College men’s and women’s rodeo teams shined at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper last week.

Led by Taylor Engesser, who won the barrel racing championship, the GC women finished fifth in the team standings.

Kristi Steffes, of Vale, S.D., grabbed 14th place in the barrels.

The GC men finished in 18th place, out of 56 teams. Devan Reilly, of Sheridan, anchored the Pronghorns with a sixth place finish in the bareback — his second straight top 10 finish at the CNFR.

Seth Anderson, of Hurley, S.D., took 11th in the team roping, while Jade Blackwell, of Rapid City, S.D., earned 16th in the saddle bronc.

The Gillette College head rodeo coach is Will LaDuke.
