GC rodeo athlete Jade Black wins new truck

Gillette College bronc ride Jade Black is the lucky recipient of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association’s 2014 Dodge Truck award, the association announced recently.

CaptureForm Rapid City, S.D., Black’s name was selected at the drawing held at the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association’s national office in April. Blackwell is an agriculture science major.

Blackwell will be presented the keys to his new Ram 2500 truck during the College National Finals Rodeo inside the Casper Events Center on June 21. Blackwell will be competing at the CNFR in the saddle bronc riding. He is currently ranked seventh in the nation.

Black helped the Gillette College rodeo teams win the 2014 Central Rocky Mountain Region championships.
