Sheridan College to host Energy City Voices performance

Singing and dancing are coming to the Sheridan College Edward A. Whitney Academic Center Atrium.

The Gillette College Energy City Voices will perform “One Singular Sensation” on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door or at the Sheridan College front desk. Seating is limited.

“They are really great students with amazing talent!” said Cheryl Ringer, director of Energy City Voices. “We have worked hard for a product we could be proud of.”

In its second year of performing, Energy City Voices is comprised of 12 Gillette College students who hail from across the nation, from California to Indiana.

The musical show features a group of kids working in a diner in a small town. Through some trials, they realize that their lives aren’t headed in the direction they had hoped—their dreams seeming unreachable. Some dream of Broadway stardom, while others hope to win big in Las Vegas. Some aim for Hollywood and some are content roaming the country. Are they brave enough to follow their dreams?

The Energy City Voices’ performance at Sheridan College is a culmination of several regional tour stops, which includes shows in Buffalo, Casper and Billings, Mont. This is the group’s first of four tours.
