Before accepting the Director’s position, Amy Albrecht spent 18 years as an advertising executive and the last 12 as co-owner of Kemper-Odell Creative Advertising and Design, an advertising and public relations firm based in Sheridan. During that period, Amy built strong business and non-profit relations in the community and honed her media relations and strategic planning talents.
Amy is a member of the Board of Directors of Family Planning of the Big Horns and the Sheridan County YMCA and serves on several non-profit committees including The Link – Partners in Pink, an event benefitting the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Development Committee of the Sheridan Senior Center.
She credits her participation in the Sheridan Community Leadership Project, CiViC Class 2009-10, with giving her the impetus, confidence and expertise to apply for and receive the position of CVC Director.
Amy received a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas and grew up in Peoria, Illinois. Although she feels like a Wyoming native after all this time, Amy found her way to Sheridan thanks to being a guest and then employee for nearly 15 years at the HF Bar, a dude ranch southwest of Sheridan.
Amy and her husband, Mike, are the proud and busy parents of Will and Nick.
