The Center for a Vital Community in Sheridan, Wyoming, serves as a forum that joins all Sheridan County citizens together across lines of differing ideologies to identify and respond to our area’s civic issues in the spirit of openness and respect. We seek to strengthen community resources through training, collaboration and sharing of information.
Our community-wide conversation (study circles) on poverty from the fall of 2012 has led to some exciting work because of some committed community citizens. A week at YMCA of the Bighorns that’s fun, educational, filled with outdoor adventures and helps 8th graders meet the challenges as they transition to high school. Youth CiViC Camp will be June 16th-19th, 2014.
