AQIP

In February 2005 Northern Wyoming Community College District (NWCCD)
was accepted into The Higher Learning Commission’s (HLC) Academic Quality
Improvement Program (AQIP).

AQIP is based on continuous quality improvement principles. Each institution
must have at least three action projects underway at all times and at least one
of the projects must be related to student learning.

Every four years AQIP institutions submit a Systems Portfolio for review by a
panel of peers appointed by HLC.  Our first review was of our 2007 Portfolio and
the Feedback Report was received in 2008.  AQIP institutions also have a formal
Quality Checkup Visit, carried out by peers appointed by HLC, every four years.
Our Quality Visit was in fall 2010 and the Checkup Report was received shortly
thereafter.  In preparation we submitted two formal reports — the State of Quality
and a Compliance Report.

Our 2011 Systems Portfolio will undergo formal review during the 2011-2012
academic year, and we also will be reviewed for Reaffirmation of Accreditation.
In preparation for reaffirmation we prepared a Quality Highlights report.
