GEAR UP – Wyoming

Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs

Are you nervous about getting into college? Don’t stress. The Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) are here for you and your parents. The Northern Wyoming Community College District (NWCCD) proudly participates in GEAR UP Wyoming, serving Sheridan, Johnson, and Campbell Counties with offices at Sheridan College and Gillette College.

Students and parents gain from GEAR UP

GEAR UP is a statewide program annually serving 2,000 income-eligible students in grades 7-12. Our GEAR UP team of tutors and mentors assists with the financial aid process, college and career exploration, summer academies, and college visits. We build relationships with parents and students to positively impact the lives of our students.
