General Technology
The technological field is very broad
and there are a number of professions
housed under the term “technology.”
Technology is used in our everyday lives
from the cars we drive to the phones we
talk on to the computers we use.
If you know you’d like to work in the ever
expanding field of technology but aren’t
sure as to what area, perhaps a General
Technology degree would suit you best.
At Sheridan College, our General
Technology program is designed for
students interested in technical fields,
but who have decided upon a broadbased
technical approach rather than
a concentration in one area. This area
makes available a variety of introductory courses which can be expanded upon later,
but fulfill the technical core. Non-technical courses are selected
to meet degree requirements and give students a broad general
education. Students are urged to consult with their Academic
Advisor to determine the courses needed for the Technical
Elective(s).
