Employment and Training for Self-Sufficiency--ETSS Program

Sheridan College Allied Health Program

The Sheridan College Allied Health ETSS Program is funded by TANF funds from the Department of Family Services administered by the Department of Workforce Services. This program provides support services and financial assistance for students with dependant children who are enrolled in dental hygiene, licensed practical nursing, registered nursing programs and certified nursing assisstant. Sheridan College Technical programs are also eligible. These programs include: Construction Technology, Engineering Technology, Drafting, Diesel Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Surveying Technology and Welding.
To qualify, students must
  1. Be a custodial or non-custodial parenting adult.,
  2. Be a Wyoming resident having lived in the state 45 days or longer and have a Wyoming residence,
  3. Be a United States citizen,
  4. Have family income between 100 and 185% of the federal poverty level,
  5. Have approval from their case manager to participate in this program if receiving cash assistance (TANF) from the Department of Family Services.
  6. Complete their course of study and graduate or certify
  7. Produce income after training that is higher than income before training, and
  8. Enter their "trained for" occupation with a starting salary that results in their family income of at least 220% of the poverty level.
