Feb. 7 during the men’s and women’s basketball games at the Golden Dome

Sheridan College invites basketball fans and all active duty and veteran military personnel to a Military Appreciation Night, presented by the Sheridan College Veterans Services department and the Veterans Club, on Wednesday, Feb. 7 as the Generals battle Western Wyoming Community College at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome.

The women’s game tips off at 5:30 p.m., and the men’s game begins at 7:30 p.m. Active duty and veteran military personnel will receive free admission to both games, as well as a complimentary meal, including a hotdog, bag of chips and a medium fountain drink.

According to Tyler Jensen, Veterans Advisor at Sheridan College, this is an opportunity for the community to honor local veterans and enjoy what is sure to be a great night of basketball.

“We invite the community to pack the stands to show support for our veterans and active duty military personnel and enjoy some great basketball at the Golden Dome,” Jensen said. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to thank these brave men and women for their service.”

Veterans and active duty military personnel in attendance will be recognized during the games, and student members of the Veterans Club will be in charge of concessions. The Veterans Club is a Student Veterans of America chapter and works to promote the general welfare of student veterans and advance student veterans’ issues on campus and in the community.

Sheridan College is located at 1 Whitney Way. For more information, visit www.sheridan.edu or call 307-675-0505.
