High school quiz bowl reaches its zenith this Saturday, December 3, as Sheridan College hosts the 21st Annual Wyoming Academic Challenge.

Sixteen high school teams from across Wyoming, including Sheridan, Big Horn, and Tongue River, will descend on Sheridan College to vie for the championship. The event will be hosted by the SC chapter of the National Society for Leadership and Success and Phi Theta Kappa.

“We’re thrilled to once again host this fantastic event for high school students,” said John Sutton, Project Director of H-1B Grant and Tutoring for the Northern Wyoming Community College District, which includes Sheridan College. “Quiz bowl is one of the most exciting academic-based events in the nation, and the College is proud to support these excellent young students.”

The Wyoming Academic Challenge was created in 1996 by longtime Riverside High School (Basin) coach John Tate. Campbell County High School is the defending champion after defeating Cheyenne East High School last April.
