Over 120 high school students and faculty from Wyoming and Montana will be on the Sheridan campus on Thursday, April 12 for the Sheridan College High School Art Intensive. This free event will introduce students to all the Sheridan College art programs have to offer. Students will conduct fun, hands-on activities in the state-of-the-art studios and classrooms of the Whitney Center for the Arts.

The event begins at 9 a.m., and Sheridan College faculty and students will lead each session. Activities include silk screening custom t-shirts, creating large grid portraits, creating large collaborative drawings to live music, doing an aluminum pour, raku firing, and printing block prints to cover a large wire bird in the lobby. Students will rotate through the different stations throughout the day, so each student will get to experience all activities.

High school students from Sheridan, Gillette, Buffalo, Big Horn, Arvada-Clearmont, Broadus, and the Girls School will attend.
