Director, Agriculture Program
M.S. in Rangeland Ecology and Watershed Management, University of Wyoming
B.S. in Range Management, Texas Tech University
Keith’s work experience has included working with various land resources, most specifically focused on rangelands. His diversity of knowledge on rangeland, grassland, and pasture ecosystems, stems from past research, consulting, and education he has provided across many parts of the United States, working with private landowners and public agencies to aid in the development of land stewardship and management. Much of Keith’s teaching allows students to be “in-the-field”, gathering knowledge in the natural setting. Keith is a member of the Wyoming Section Society for Range Management, past Director of the international Society for Range Management (2010-2013) and currently serves on administrative committees with this same organization. He is also on the Sheridan Chamber of Commerce Ag and Natural Resources Committee. He has written 18 peer-reviewed technical papers and 20 proceedings papers and popular press articles.
Keith also coaches the collegiate Range Team, which competes both at the state and national levels each year in contests such as range plant identification, undergraduate range management exam, extemporaneous speaking, and poster competitions.
