NWCCD is excited to offer fun, educational camps for all ages. Today’s most promising high school students will be tomorrow’s scientists and engineers, artists and entrepreneurs – the people who invent the future – but only if they realize their potential. Gifted teens have unique needs not often met in their schools: for role models, intellectual challenge, true peers, and the confidence to dream bigger dreams. Sheridan College is designed to challenge and inspire talented rising high school students from around the region.
Our College for Kids program, designed for K-12 students, will provide your child with a fun learning environment they won’t soon forget!
Games & Hardware United through Code is an immersive, one-week, coding camp for high school students. Participating students experience college life while learning a variety of technologies from award-winning professional programmers and college instructors. Students build their own game-worthy animated graphics, plug them into a simple game, and then create their own personalized game variation. They can see the same techniques they are learning in camp put to use in the web applications they use every day. In the afternoons, students work in small teams to assemble and program hardware assembly. We’ll use multiple languages to interact with hardware in fun and interesting ways. We invite you to join us in this adventure. Visit our games & hardware united through code page to register and learn more.

A art camp focused on Photography and Printmaking. Print Extravaganza is a multidiscipline art intensive camp that focuses on photography and printmaking. Participating students will get to experience college life while having access to Sheridan College art studios and receiving instruction from professional artists. We will begin the week by learning the basics of digital photography by taking a guided nature field trip. When getting back to the studio students will get hands on experience on how to output photographs using Adobe Photoshop. The class will explore alternative photographic techniques such as lumen prints, cyanotypes, and pinhole photography, including different printmaking techniques. Complete your camp experiences by installing your finished work in the Neltje Student Art Gallery. Visit our Print Extravaganza page to register and learn more.
