Computer Web Design
Website designers are often responsible for the layout, color scheme and general design of a website. Websites are crucial for businesses, organizations and e-commerce, as the design of a website can often be the deciding factor of whether visitors leave or stay. As a modern art form, designing a website is not just about making online pages aesthetically pleasing. Skilled website designers also ensure websites are easy to navigate, increasing functionality and testing usability. NWCCD’s Computer Web Design program will give you the skills you need to join this fast-growing computer tech field. This program is available at both Sheridan College and Gillette College.
Web designers create visually appealing websites that are functional, user-friendly and appear in search engine results. Website designers must also know where to place advertisements to effectively reach targeted audiences. The skills of web designers are in high demand, as virtually every business and organization expands their web presence in today’s digital world. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts 20% job growth for the field of Web Developers, adding 28,500 jobs from 2012-2022.
