The Sheridan College Broadway Center, located in the heart of Downtown Sheridan, serves the Sheridan College Theater, Education, and Health Sciences programs, as well as other regional training sessions. This unique site provides a wide variety of educational opportunities through its theater shops and practice classrooms, as well as the Wyoming Simulation Center.
Hands-on learning at the Wyoming Simulation Center
The Wyoming Simulation Center offers Health Sciences, Nursing, and Dental Hygiene students the opportunity to work with realistic scenarios in a clinical environment simulator, which includes a six-bed clinic and two high-fidelity mannequins that appropriately respond to treatment. The Simulation Center was made possible by a strong partnership between Sheridan College and Sheridan Memorial Hospital.
Theater students go behind the scenes and center stage
The Broadway Center houses the costume shop, scene shop, makeup studio, classrooms, and a multi-purpose theater lab. The Sheridan College Theater program utilizes the educational spaces in the Broadway Center as well as the main stages of Sheridan — the WYO Theater and the Mars Theater, both located within walking distance of the Theater program hub.
Future educators get in the classroom
Under the direction of Sheridan College faculty, Education students have the opportunity to use mock classrooms located at the Broadway Center for teaching practicum. The facility gives Education students the ability to apply their learning in a real-world setting.
